Delete Your Saela Account
You can delete your Saela account at any time. Saela uses an ultra-secure, privacy-first data model where your personal identity and your health data are always stored separately and can only be connected using a unique linking ID that exists only on your device. Here’s how deletion works.
Delete Your Account Instantly Inside the App
You can delete your account with one tap:
Settings → Account → Delete Account
When you tap Delete Account, the following happens immediately:
- Your personal identifying information (PII) is deleted.
This includes your name, email and any profile details stored in our cloud. - Your data connection between PII and PHI is un-linked and cannot be recovered.
This ID exists only on your device and is the only thing that could ever connect your identity to your health data. - Your access to the Saela app is removed.
What this means for your data:
Your health data stored in our cloud was never identifiable to begin with.
Once the linking ID on your device is deleted, the health data in our cloud becomes permanently un-linkable and cannot ever be connected back to you.
Any remaining health data becomes abandoned, anonymous data with no possible method of re-identification.
This process is instant and irreversible.
Cancel Your Premium Subscription
Canceling a paid subscription is done through the platform where you purchased it:
Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Saela Sync
Google Play → Profile Icon → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions → Saela Sync
Canceling your subscription does not delete your account or your data. To fully delete your account, use the in-app deletion process or email us.
Request Deletion by Email (If You Can’t Access the App)
If you no longer have access to the Saela app, you may request deletion by contacting us:

We can manually delete the identifying information (PII) stored in our cloud, including:
- Name
- Email address
- Other Profile Details
Because of Saela’s privacy-by-design architecture:
- We cannot access or modify the unique linking ID stored on your device
- We cannot associate or “look up” your health data by identity
However, once your PII is deleted from our cloud, any health data in the system remains permanently unidentifiable, as it was never linked to your identity in the first place.
If you still have the app installed, we recommend also using the in-app Delete Account button to remove the linking ID stored on your device.
What Happens After Account Deletion
If deleted using the in-app button:
- Identifying information: deleted instantly
- Unique linking ID: unlinked instantly
- Account access: removed instantly
- Health data: remains, but is permanently anonymous and un-linkable
If requested by email
- Identifying information: deleted
- Unique linking ID: remains only on your device (we cannot access it)
- Account access: removed instantly
- Health data: was never identifiable and remains permanently anonymous
